10 years ago, the Taliban attacked Afghanistan's only luxury hotel, Serena, in Kabul, killing 9 people, including an American citizen.
Serena Hotel recently announced that they are closing the hotel in Kabul from February 1, the hotel is now in the hands of the government.
There was no immediate response from the government, nor did Serena Hotel and the government explain the conditions under which the management of the hotel would change.
