India and Pakistan should work to reduce tensions: US Secretary of State
According to the US State Department, Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke by phone with Pakistani and Indian officials on Wednesday and asked them to reduce tensions and restore mutual communication.
According to the US State Department, Secretary of State Marco Rubio has spoken to Pakistani and Indian officials and urged them to de-escalate tensions. Marco Rubio urged Pakistani officials to condemn the brutal attack in Pahalgam and cooperate in the investigation.
India has announced the closure of its airspace to Pakistani flights.
Pakistan's military spokesman Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif has said that "if India chose the path of military confrontation, it is their choice. Where this matter goes next, it will be our choice."
ISI chief Lieutenant General Asim Malik has been given the additional charge of National Security Advisor in addition to his current responsibilities.
