Some 15 candidates are standing in the by-election, one of whom is an independent.

Voters will need to show a form of acceptable ID - such as a driving licence or passport - to be able to vote.

The Holborn and St Pancras by-election is underway, with candidates from across the political spectrum vying to become its new MP.

The voting process is expected to take several hours, with polling stations closing at 22:00 BST.

It is worth noting that the by-election is not directly related to Sir Keir Starmer's resignation from the Labour Party leadership.
