US President Trump's executive order is a big blow to the 40,000 Afghans who were ready to move to the US, report/file photo.

 WASHINGTON: An executive order by new US President Donald Trump has blocked asylum in the US for Afghans who supported and worked with US troops during their presence in Afghanistan. 

   The American newspaper New York Times said in a report in this regard that thousands of Afghan citizens who worked with and supported the American army during the Afghan war (2001-2021) and after the departure of the United States from Afghanistan. They were approved to be safely resettled in the United States, but now President Trump has closed the way for these Afghans to come to the United States through an executive order.
