Aid to Pakistan suspended pending review: US official confirms/file photo
Like many countries in the world, the US authorities have confirmed the cessation of aid to Pakistan and stopped several important projects.
In the past days, the United States has temporarily suspended almost all foreign aid programs, including aid programs to Ukraine, Taiwan and Jordan, while these aid programs have been initially suspended for 90 days.
All US diplomatic and consular missions were issued an order by the State Department asking them to immediately suspend all aid programs and cease all operations in this regard.
However, now the official of the US consulate has confirmed to Geonews that the aid has been stopped immediately pending a re-evaluation.
