Council with no leader faces government takeover
The Greater Manchester authority has been in no overall control since the local elections in May.
Parties in Oldham have failed to form an administration to take control of the council.
Council services continued to operate as normal, with arrangements remaining in place to ensure statutory responsibilities were fulfilled.
The government commissioners could be brought in to run a leaderless council, following Labour's loss of eight seats and Reform UK's seven in May.
