6.3 magnitude earthquake in Turkey
A 6.1-magnitude earthquake jolted eastern parts of Turkey.
According to foreign media, Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Authority (AFAD) says that an earthquake of magnitude 6.1 has been recorded in the eastern province of Malatya.
No loss of life or property has been reported due to the earthquake.
According to the Mediterranean Seismological Center, earthquake shocks were felt in the eastern region of Turkey, the depth of the earthquake was 9 km underground, while the magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 6.1 on the Richter scale.
It should be remembered that at the beginning of last year, the earthquake in the south of Turkey and north-western border areas of Syria caused widespread destruction.Last year's 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck Turkey's south and Syria's northwest border, killing thousands.
