LIVE: Pakistan’s response to India will resonate globally, warns DG ISPR
Tensions between India and Pakistan are increasing specially after May 6 missile attacks by India, which claimed lives of 31 innocent civilians and injuries to over 50 people.
In a prompt response, Pakistan shot down five Indian jets and nearly 30 drones so far, according to Director General Inter-Services Public Service (ISPR) Lt. General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry. Pakistan rejects Indian fabricated claims of attacks on IIOJK Security sources have categorically rejected reports in the Indian media alleging Pakistani attacks on Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), terming them as white lies aimed at misleading the international community. The false narratives are being spread to create the impression that Pakistan has launched an assault on Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. “These fabricated stories are designed to provide India with a pretext to continue its aggression against Pakistan,” the sources said They added that the reports lack any truth and are entirely baseless. Pakistan will target Indian military installations, says Khawaja Asif Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said that Pakistan will refrain from targeting Indian civilians in any retaliatory actions following its misadventure and would attack solely military installations. Speaking to a UK news agency, Khawaja Asif said that the Pakistan-India conflict has reached a dead end and that there is no room for reducing tensions, terming India’s attack on civilian areas as cowardly. The defence minister also recalled Pakistan Air Force’s swift and decisive response on India’s misadventure, saying that five of their jets were shot down. “The pilots operating Rafale jets lacked expertise. Even the company manufacturing Rafale jets has also suffered a setback due Indian pilots’ lack of expertise,” Khawaja Asif added. DG ISPR asserts Pakistan’s strikes will resonate globally Speaking during a press briefing on Thursday, DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that India has claimed that Pakistan fired 15 projectiles, all of which were neutralized by Indian air defenses. However, the DG ISPR mocked these assertions, pointing out India’s failure to protect its own aircraft. “If India claims it neutralized 15 projectiles, why couldn’t it save its own five jets from being shot down by the Pakistan Air Force?” he asked, referring to downing five Indian aircraft, including three Rafale fighters, one MiG-29, and one SU-30 by Pakistan Air Force. The DG ISPR warned that Pakistan’s response, when it comes on a time and place of its own choice, will be unmistakable. “When Pakistan strikes, the Indian media won’t need to spin stories—the whole world will know,” the DG ISPR vowed. Tarar says Pakistan forces killed 50 Indian soldiers at LoC Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar stated that Pakistan army has killed at least 50 Indian soldiers along the Line of Control (LoC). In a policy statement in the National Assembly, Atta Tarar said that the cowardly enemy attacked under the cover of darkness. He added that India had boasted about having Rafale jets and threatened to do anything. However, India faced humiliation and embarrassment during its aggression against Pakistan.
