19 Khawarij killed in 3 operations of security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
19 Khawarij were killed in 3 different operations by security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), 8 Khawarij were killed in an intelligence-based operation in Matni area of Peshawar, 8 Khawarij were also killed during the operation in Bazai area of Mohmand district. Spokesman of Pakistan Army says that 3 Khawarij were killed in a clash with security forces in Kirk district. According to ISPR, 3 jawans were martyred in the exchange of fire with the terrorists, including Lance Havaldar Abbas Ali, Naik Muhammad Nazir and Naik Muhammad Usman. Spokesman of Pakistan Army says that clearance operation is going on in the area to eliminate possible Khawarij, security forces are determined to eliminate terrorism. It should be noted that the security forces had conducted an intelligence-based operation on the information about the presence of Khawarij in Sararogha area of South Waziristan during December 24 and 25. According to ISPR, the security personnel effectively targeted the hideouts of Khawarij during the operation, as a result of which 13 Khawarij were killed. According to ISPR, the slain Khawarij were involved in several terrorist acts against the security forces including the killing of innocent civilians.
