Important news regarding Free Solar Panel Scheme

Lahore: Free solar panel scheme has started in Punjab, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz directed to complete the solar panel installation process as soon as possible.

 According to ARY News, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz officially inaugurated the Chief Minister Punjab Free Solar Panel Scheme, an automatic digital draw of the solar panel scheme took place after Maryam Nawaz said different numbers.

 On this occasion, Secretary Energy gave a briefing to Chief Minister Punjab regarding the free solar panel scheme to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, in which it was informed that 94 thousand 483 solar systems will be installed throughout the year under the CM Punjab Free Solar Panel Scheme.

 In the briefing, Punjab Chief Minister was informed that 8 lakh 61 thousand consumers have applied for free solar panel scheme, all the process of free solar panel scheme has been completed through end-to-end digitalization, 47 thousand 182 systems of 0.55 kW and 47 thousand 301 systems of 1.1 kW will be installed.

 According to the Energy Secretary, the solar system will be provided free of cost to the users who consume up to 100 units and 200 units of electricity per month. It will be verified with the reference number and CNIC number listed on the monthly bill of the users.

 It was further informed in the briefing that the solar panel and inverter will be linked to the user's computerized identity card to protect them from theft, 57 thousand tons of carbon emissions will be reduced by installing one lakh solar systems in Punjab, the subsidy burden on the federal government will also be reduced with the free solar panel scheme.

 After the physical verification, the installation of solar system will start across the province at the end of March, the first phase of the free solar panel scheme will be completed by the end of July.

 Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz directed to complete the solar panel installation process as soon as possible and said that people want relief from expensive electricity, there should be no delay, the free solar panel scheme should be completed as soon as possible.
