Bangladesh's interim government has canceled the passport of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wajid. According to foreign media, this decision was taken on Tuesday in Dhaka by the interim government headed by Nobel laureate Dr Muhammad Younis. According to reports, passports of a total of 97 people, including former Prime Minister Hasina Wajid, have been revoked by the interim government of Bangladesh in view of criminal activities in the country. Of those whose passports have been revoked, 22 are accused of involvement in enforced disappearances, while another 75 are accused of murder during student protests in Bangladesh last year. The development comes after the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) issued arrest warrants against Sheikh Hasina and 11 others in the case of enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings during her regime. The tribunal has set a deadline of 12 February to arrest the accused including Hasina Wajid. It should be remembered that yesterday the Indian media claimed that the arrest warrant of former Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina has been issued. According to Indian media, the International Criminal Tribunal has issued warrants for 11 people, including Hasina Wajid, on the charges of enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings.
