ISLAMABAD: Giving another shock to the consumers who are suffering from high bills, the caretaker government has further increased the per unit price of electricity.

According to the notification issued by the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), the price of electricity has been increased by Rs 1.46 paisa per unit, the increase was made in the context of the monthly fuel adjustment for July.

According to the notification, the increase in electricity price will be applied in September bills, it will not be applicable to Lifeline and K-Electric customers.
