US President Trump has said in a statement that the funding of educational institutions that allow illegal protests will be stopped. Protesters will be imprisoned or deported, while US citizens will be permanently expelled or arrested.

Protests against the Israeli attacks on Gaza in American schools, colleges and universities have been heavily criticized by President Trump.

President Trump signed an executive order in January ordering the expulsion of students who participated in the protests.

Such demonstrations in support of the Palestinians were held around the world, and in the United States such demonstrations are constitutionally protected by the First Amendment.

American human rights organizations say that colleges should respond strongly to illegal actions. Also, even if there is an illegal demonstration in a college, the president does not have the authority to unilaterally stop federal funds.

However, the Minister of Education claims in Trump Antamiya that Jewish students studying in American universities have been facing harassment for a year. He has declared illegal the camps in support of the Palestinians.

President Trump did not say illegal
