6 matches, including the final of the Asia Cup, are scheduled in Colombo, but the capital of Sri Lanka is under heavy rains, due to which the holding of the matches is in jeopardy. The India-Pakistan match on which the eyes of the world are watching has already been rained on September 2 and now there is a strong possibility of rain interference in the match to be held on Sunday September 10.

In such a situation, the efforts of the Pakistan Cricket Board have paid off and the Asian Cricket Council has supported a reserve day in case the Pakistan-India conflict is affected by rain.

It should be noted that the Pakistan Cricket Board had raised several objections to the holding of the Asia Cup matches in Colombo in the context of rains and had expressed reservations regarding the forecast of rain and the rescheduling of the event.

If the match between the traditional rivals on Sunday is affected by rain, the match will be played the next day on September 11. On Reserve Day, the match will pick up from where it left off on September 10.

If the match takes place on September 11 due to rain, then India will have to play back-to-back matches as their next match against Sri Lanka is scheduled on September 12.

"It seems that now there will be a swimming competition between the teams," said former Indian player Jay Shah

On PCB's objections and reservations, the Asian Cricket Council has decided to reserve day for this match.
