Video: UK's new charging station to charge hundreds of cars simultaneously
The UK's largest electric vehicle charging station has been inaugurated by BP in Birmingham, which can charge 180 cars simultaneously.
The above-mentioned charging hub (center) is built at the intersection of three motorways in the central part of England, which also has 30 ultra-fast 300 kW charging stations that can charge enough in 15 minutes to drive a car 100 miles (160.93 km) while there are also 150 slow charging points of 7 kW.
Akira Kirton, CEO of electric vehicle charging company BP Plus, which serves the UK, told the media that this is part of a billion-pound project that will see hundreds of charging stations set up in the country over a decade.

He said BP Plus uses 100 percent renewable energy, but declined to say how much profit the company would make.
"We have seen a significant number of cars coming to our sites and most of these sites are profitable for us," Crotone added.
