Hamas confirmed direct negotiations with the US for the release of the hostages
According to a foreign news agency, a Hamas official (who asked not to be named) said on Wednesday that he had held direct talks with an American envoy for the release of the hostages.
A Hamas official said that the US envoy had discussed the Israeli prisoners with US citizenship, and there were also several conversations between Hamas and various US communication channels.
Another senior Hamas official said that there have been two direct meetings between Hamas and US officials in Doha in recent days.
Earlier, the American news website Exeos also revealed that the US government has directly contacted the Palestinian resistance organization Hamas for the release of hostages in Gaza.
