Don't take skin disorders for granted, new study
Generally, everyone suffers from skin diseases at some stage of life, but no one should take it for granted because according to new research, this common disease can be the cause of many serious diseases.
According to foreign media, health experts conducted a new study on skin diseases in which a total of more than 1 million people were included and their data was reviewed.
The study, published in a medical journal, looked at data from more than 400,000 children and more than 600,000 adults who had skin conditions (severe red rashes on the skin) from 1994 to 2015. Also treated at different times.
The results of this study showed that children and adults suffering from the mentioned skin disease are more likely to suffer from intestinal, stomach and other diseases related to the digestive system. According to the research, children were noted to be 44% more likely to develop intestinal and other stomach diseases, while the rate was up to 34% in adults.
For this research, the experts took the medical records of all the mentioned persons from January 2020 to June 2023 and then classified the diseases in these persons.
According to experts, people suffering from skin diseases are more likely to suffer from shortness of breath, abdominal pain, cramps, constipation, intestinal and gastrointestinal problems, among others. Apart from this, the complaints of ulcers, bloody stools and hemorrhoids also increase in adults, while the problem of abdominal pain including constipation also increases in them.
It should be noted that previous research has also proved that skin diseases can lead to some other serious diseases including heart disease and joint pain.
